Phi Beta Sigma Is Back. The Work Has Begun.
November 16, 2017
On October 31, 2017 Bro. Boka Agboje was introduced to the USC campus as a brand new Fall '17 initiate of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Now known as"The ReΣurrector". Bro. Agboje shared his experience saying, "it's blessing of being initiated as a brother into the historical Black Greek Letter Organization, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. It was definitely a wild journey going from growing up in predominantly white spaces worrying I'm not black enough to then reactivating a black fraternity in my final semester of college. I want to thank Brother Fowles and Honorable Brother Sneed for guiding me through this journey." Also big thanks to Kappa Delta Sigma Chapter | Carson, CA for showing me how this bond is truly lifelong, Alpha Upsilon Chapter | CSU, Dominguez @ausomeausigmas for giving me a collegiate example to strive for, the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Gamma Lambda chapter [@usczetas] for their fundamental role in my education, and all the other brothers and sisters who've helped and supported me along the way.
In just the few since initiation, Bro. Agboje has hosted several programs including a Social Justice Video game tournament supporting the Richard Sherman Foundation and Study Hall sessions to close out the semester strong. To close out the month, there will be a Friendsgiving and an Informal Info Session.
In addition to hosting events, Bro. Boka Agboje has participated in some campus wide events including the 40th Anniversary Mixer of the Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs, USC Friends and Neighbors Day, and he served as the host for the Pan African Student Association's Afro Ball.
Joy Ofodu and Bro. Boka Agboje hosted the 2017 USC Pan African Student Association Afro Ball.
